Here’s how to get to Manchester Christmas Markets by public transport. Students at Manchester’s universities can easily access the Christmas Markets via public transportation. From the University of Manchester, catch the free shuttle bus to Piccadilly Station, then walk 10 minutes to Piccadilly Gardens. The University of Salford is a bit further, but students can take the Blue Line tram to St Peter’s Square and it’s a 7-minute walk to the markets. From Manchester Metropolitan University, catch a Media City tram from Chester Street and hop off at Bridge Street and walk 4 minutes to Albert Square.
